Really quick-like here… Remember how recently some Academy of Pediatric Safety (or something) decided that toddlers should now remain rear-facing in the car until two years?

We made it rear-facing with Sam till 18 months. Just flipped him around last week. Then I brought him to his 18 month doctor visit and got the guilt trip from the pediatrician for switching him to forward facing before his 2nd birthday. Apparently their little necks aren’t strong enough yet to withstand the whiplash that could occur in a car accident.

I’m wondering…are others out there following this new “guideline” for rear-facing till two? Or have you had enough of jamming your kid in there backwards and made the flip? What are your thoughts?
